Why this is being built
Discovery solves half the problem. The other half is that plenty of good events go unattended because nobody wanted to turn up on their own, and there was no way to find the four other people who felt the same.
What it will include
- See how many people from your university are going
- Group sign-ups for trips, leagues and day-outs
- Ride sharing to events out of the city
- Society pages for the clubs you have joined
How it will work
Built on top of saved events, which already work. Going to an event becomes something you can do as a group rather than a solo decision, with the same privacy controls as the rest of your profile.
Where it actually stands
This is the next substantial piece of work after launch. Social features are easy to build badly, so it will ship narrow and grow rather than arriving as a full social network.
