01 The idea
Why we are building this
Every cohort rebuilds the same revision notes from scratch, and every year a pile of genuinely free student software goes unused because nobody knew it was free. This section is a shared shelf: resources students here have made or found, plus the giveaways we run.
02 The plan
What study resources & giveaways will include
- Notes and past papers Shared per university and per module, uploaded by students, with credit to whoever wrote them.
- Free software and student licences What is genuinely free on a university email in the UAE, how to claim it, and how long it lasts.
- Templates that save an evening Referencing, lab reports, CVs, budgets and revision timetables, set up for how universities here mark.
- Giveaways Real ones, run by us and our partners. Tickets, tech, gym passes and course materials, drawn openly.

How it will work
- Step 1 Find it by module Filtered to your university and course first, then everything else.
- Step 2 Take it, or add to it Everything is free to download, and uploading your own is what keeps the shelf stocked.
- Step 3 Enter in one tap Giveaways are open to any registered student here, with the odds and the draw date stated.
Where it actually stands
Nothing is live. Resource sharing needs moderation and clear rules on what can be uploaded before it opens, and we would rather get that right than take it down a week later.

Straight answers about this, whether or not our version of it is finished.
See what already worksMost of it is locked inside individual course pages, private group chats and the year above. Universities in the UAE also provide free access to software, journals and learning tools on a student email that many students never claim.
This section will collect shared notes, past papers, templates and free licences in one place, organised by university and module.
The ones we run will be, and they will say who provided the prize, how many entries there are and when the draw happens. Any giveaway that cannot state those three things will not appear here.
That is the intention, with credit to you and moderation to keep copyrighted course material out. Uploads open when the section does.

Most of DubaiStudentLife is still being built, and we would rather say so than pad the site with empty pages. Register and you get told once, when the part you came for is actually there.
